Broken Dreams
Your heart… it aches, it weeps, it bleeds
Yet the smile you paste on for everyone to see hides it all.
The make-up, jewelry, nice clothes, and beautiful smile
Hides the pain you harbor deep down inside.
Broken dreams, promises not kept,
It all adds to the pain you carry deep inside.
Only in moments when you think no one is looking
Is the pain allowed to creep to the surface.
I’ve been there…I understand
Please take it from me,
A relationship is not worth a lifetime of broken dreams and promises.
The pain felt from breaking off a long relationship will fade with time,
The hurt you feel when you think of all the other person did will fade,
But with the fading pain and the regret of having lasted so long in a bad relationship
Comes a peace that can only come from one person…the most amazing person in the whole wide world.
Trust your heart with God, He is the only one that will never break your heart.
People will come and go in your life, but the only one that gave His life for you
Waits with open arms for His daughters and sons to come back home.
Those broken and shattered pieces of your heart…He mends back together.
A more beautiful vessel will never be found after He is done.
And a stronger vessel will never be found once He is through.
Allow Him to work, and you will never regret it.
Allow Him to love you, and you will know the true meaning of the words….
