“For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to give you a hope and a future.” Jeremiah 29:11
Such a powerful verse! What freedom we really have when we fully grasp the power in so few words. “For I know the plans I have for you…” Incredible! How amazing it is to know that on those days when we feel like we are at the end of ourselves and we have no earthly idea what we are doing or should do…it’s perfectly ok because Daddy knows. :D Just take a second and let that sink in. You are ok because, though you cannot see where you are or where you should go, you know someone who does know and can see. Of course, staying where you are just doesn’t work. You have to ask Daddy what you should do next. Ask Him where you are right now, and where He wants you to be. Take some time and just listen! J It always amazes me how when I actually take the time to sit still and quiet and just realize who my Daddy is, He starts writing me love letters. It might sound a little strange, but I know my Daddy loves me and wants to show me what true love is. My earthly daddy does too, but my heavenly Daddy (my Abba) is the one who wants me to be listening to Him all the time so that when I need a word of encouragement, or a set of directions, He can whisper them in my ear. And when I say that He writes love letters I really do mean hand written ones. We see it in scripture with the book of Song of Solomon, and in my life I have various letters in different notebooks that I’ve had with me during times of worship. He uses these letters to show me things about my future, just small glimpses mind you, but He shows me none the less.
Have you let your Daddy write you a love letter recently? You would know because you would not be the same. You would know that you are loved regardless of what you have done. Have you just sat there and listened to Him and felt Him wrap His arms around you? You would know because the feeling lingers and is unlike any other you will ever find on this earth. Have you let Daddy show you a piece of His plans for you lately? You would know you see, because His plans are so amazing that they will blow your mind with how He makes things that should not be possible…possible. J
If you haven’t heard, seen, or felt any of those things then my suggestion is to get alone with God and tell Him that you want to know Him more. You want Him to be the love of your life, and you want Him to romance you and show you what true love is. And get ready for the ride of your life. J He never does anything half way!
